SENIOR MANAGER OF MULTIMODAL TRANSPORT

Position overview:

The role of Senior Manager of Multimodal Transport is designed to primarily organize logistics process relating to the container transport of specialized goods worldwide.

As a member of the team, the employee will also be responsible for executing and assisting with logistics processes within projects to improve its efficiency and in the resolution of issues and queries from our principal, clients, agents and the global business.

Key responsibilities:

• Independently participates in negotiations on new transportation inquiries and concludes contracts based on drafted calculations and in accordance with its authority;
• Operatively, timely and with special attention performs activities on the realization of contracted transport;
• Ensures cooperation with other sectors in which the job is performed under the same transport contract;
• Ensures that the required documentation is correctly established; coordinates with the receiving and the sending of the documents to its timely release
• Follows up the invoicing, irregularities, delays, and eventual claims
• Participates in the organization of the implementation of contracts, as well as in finding optimal transportation solutions for disputed cases;
• Requests freight quotations for international consignments as well as asks for green light at destination before order a shipment
• Selects cost efficient and reliable mode of transportation, including the choice of forwarder, carrier that guarantee a safe and quick transportation
• Keeps contact with the delegate and the transporter to enable smooth coordination and cargo pick-up
• On a daily basis establishes new business relationships, maintains and improves existing ones, analyses conditions and participates in negotiations to conclude new deals;
• Is obliged to adhere to established goals, business policy and promote and protect the company's interests towards third parties in a business-like and appropriate manner;

REQUIRED PROFILE:

• Experience of working with sea carriers in organisation of container transport for at least 2 years
• University degree in Logistics or professional school of similar degree (technical degree in Freight Forwarding is an advantage)
• Flexible and reliable team player: strong communication skills and high level of emotional intelligence
• Problem-solving-oriented person
• Previous use of ERP system
• Able to work under deadlines with multi-tasking approach
• Capable to rate the urgent and important tasks properly
• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively across the company
• Confident to interact with both internal and external stakeholders worldwide
• Excellent computer skills (MS Office) Business-level of written and spoken English
